How to Customize the Standard Paper Sizes in Microsoft Word

There are many times when working with Adobe software, for instance in Dreamweaver, there will be times when you will have to define the size of your paper for a document or form. Once you have found the device that is being used by your application, take a look at the properties of the print server. The column in the print server properties will display all the sizes for custom papers. Most of the time, you can select one of these options, like “small”, “wide” and “normal”. In some cases you may find that you are unable to alter the custom size of the paper there. If you are unable select the size of paper you want here then go to the print menu and alter the default size.

Click on the “sets” button next to “new size” in the print menu. A new size will be displayed and you can alter it by clicking on it. This button is typically located on the bottom of the screen. If you see it you need to click OK to proceed to the next step.

Once you have set the custom sizes of your paper correctly, you can save the changes. The new size will be saved in the printer driver. You must connect this driver to the printer to ensure that the application is set up. Before proceeding, make sure that the new size has been saved if the application has been restarted.
